Sweating it out in Berlin

The past weekend was the hottest Pentecost weekend in Berlin in 50 years! And it showed… People (my friends and I included) were all looking to cool down as the temperature went up. Thank god for the many fountains and lovely green parks in the city, like this one at the Museum Island. Picture taken by my boyfriend while the rest of us were hiding somewhere in the shade…

Funny: I recognise the man in yellow and green. I saw him when I was there in April this year. 🙂

  • It reminds me of our Berlin trip – 5 years ago. Nothing seems to have changed – the sweat and the summer fun intact!

  • Love this shot! This summer wasn’t SO hot in Munich, but last year in 2013 I remember there were like 2 or 3 weeks when it was 36C every day. I’m from Florida, but with no AC in most buildings around town it was pretty brutal!! Thanks for sharing the pic 🙂

    • Haha, so fun that someone from Florida finds it hot in Germany 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
